Impact Cups is a competition aimed at those who have a sustainable business idea in an early stage. At least one person in the team must be an active student at Stockholm University, Karolinska Institutet, or Södertörn University.
With Invest Stockholm, KI Innovation, Stockholm University, and Södertörn University, Drivhuset Stockholm wants to draw attention to students’ business ideas that make a difference to their surroundings through sustainability.

The winners are selected by a jury in the following categories: Sustainable Health, Sustainable Environment, and Sustainable Society.
Within each category, a first and second-prize winner is selected. The first prize is SEK 50,000 in development funds that can be used to hire external expertise to take your idea further. In addition, Drivhuset and KI Innovations offer several hours of free advice.

Price categories
Sustainable health
In this category, we are looking for business ideas that solve a health challenge innovatively and contribute to a healthier life. It can be about everything from preventing and treating illness to maintaining and promoting good health, both physical and mental.
Sustainable environment
Within this category, we are looking for business ideas with the potential to solve the environmental challenges of our time. For example, it can be about innovative solutions or new processes that contribute to smarter and more efficient resource utilization and thus contribute to sustainable development
Sustainable society
Within this category, we look for business ideas that contribute to or maintain a better society, through social development. It can be about solutions that promote knowledge, participation, diversity, equality, gender equality or improve the opportunities for vulnerable groups in society.
Competition criteria
The contributions will be assessed in the following areas:
- Impact
- The solution has great potential to create value and benefit for its intended target groups.

- The solution addresses a relevant and neglected need.

- Height of innovation / New thinking
- The solution is unique and shows a high level of innovation.

- The solution demonstrates a business model that is sustainable in the long term.
Timeline
The competition period is between 6/3 – 16/4

Screening
On April 18, a screening jury goes through all submitted ideas. Keep an eye on your phone/email to see if you have progressed!

During April 24-25, you have the opportunity to meet one of our business coaches and sharpen your idea before the final event.

Final
Present your idea in front of a business jury! The final event will be held at Norrsken on May 9.
